YOUTH ACCESS & SUPPORT WORKER

• 1 x 1 FTE
• Salary: $46,701 - 49, 408
You will provide frontline screening to young people and their families and facilitate the young person into appropriate mental health services. You will come to this position with an ability to engage young people and offer generalist psychosocial youth support.
In this role you will utilise your knowledge and experience within Youth Work practices, hold a relevant qualification and demonstrate previous experience working with young people in community services.
Major components of your role will involve:
• Proving face to face screening assessments in a non clinical capacity.
• Recognizing at risk mental states and behaviours of youth and seek specialist clinical follow-up.
• Assist young people in accessing services as required.
The Pathways Worker will become an integral part of the youth health services in the Barwon region. The worker will provide frontline screening to young people and their families/carers in the Barwon region. The Pathways worker will faciliate the young person into the appropriate services in the Headspace Hubs (Pathways, Jigsaw, Clockwork)
